Year 2 had a great time creating digital art today! We made some amazing pieces of art. We also looked at why digital art is different from drawing and painting. #Enjoy #Embrace #Evovle

In computing we looked at digital art 

Year 1 #embraced filling their pages with lots of marks in todays session. We looked at which materials gives us thin lines and which gives us thick lines. Lots of experimentation today! 
 

Reception #enjoyed using paints to create their self portrait. We used thick and thin brushes for our faces. 
 

Year 2 #evolved their mark making skills, drawing buildings from our local city. We use fine liners and graphites to look at the lines and shapes we could see. 

Y5 have been enjoying some reading for enjoyment  - with a lovely, relaxing atmosphere and a great book.

This week the Diddy Delph Siders have been using paint in the creative area. They also found a dinosaur egg! I wonder what will happen to the egg over the weekend?

This week Reception have been learning all about each other, each others families and talking about our emotions using the story 'The colour monster'. The children have enjoyed lots of different activities, but particularly enjoyed listening to instructions of how to draw a robot. Wow look at…

In The Hangout, we had fun exploring different feelings. We pulled different faces for feelings and used a mirror to look at our facial expressions. 

This week, Year 6 have been looking at maps of Skelmersdale which date back to the mid 1850s!

They’ve been identifying how the area has changed into the town that we have today!

In Science, Year 4 have been learning about how to group living things based on their physical appearance. We've learnt about vertebrates and invertebrates and had a go at grouping animals based on this. They've worked really hard! 

Year 3 began their 3D Design unit in I Learn 2. They experimented with copying and creating the different patterns to understand 3D. They can't wait to create their own designs to 3D print.
