We have loved Science Week so far! We learnt about irreversible changes by baking yummy chocolate muffins & we invited our grown ups in for a science themed stay & play.

Year 4 - Become an Astronaut Day
Today Year 4 #embraced the journey to space through VR headsets. We went on an adventure around our solar system looking at the planets around us, looking at the speed in which they move and how big they are in relation to our planet, Earth.

Science Week
Year 1 are enjoying science week. On physics day we investigated which material was best to make a boat of. On chemistry day we carried out a science experiment and enjoyed observing the chemical reaction.
Year 4 - Chemistry Day
As part of Chemistry day, Year 4 have been looking at chemical reactions that happen on a day to day basis. We looked at reversible and irreversible changes that can happen in food. We really #evolved our learning, looking at the changes of state.

Year 3 - Science Week - Physics and Engineering Day
Today children enjoyed making a parachute using recycled materials, we explored the idea of gravity and air resistance. We discussed the impact air resistance has on how long it takes a parachute to land on the ground.
Year 6 - British Science Week
