What an AMAZING day! It is a pleasure to work at Delph Side and to be surrounded by the most loveliest children and a fantastic team! I LOVE my job and today was extra special. It was lovely to see the little ones have so much fun!  #Enjoy #Embrace #Evolve 

Year 6 really enjoyed Refugee Day, and made some fab comments during our discussion about refugees and asylum-seekers. We created some artwork based Gabi Jiminez’ Work and began writing a poem. Nice work, Y6!

Refugee Day!

As part of Refugee Day, we learnt all about what makes a person a refugee and why people try to seek asylum. We also studied the famous artist, Gabi Jimenez, and created art emulating his style.

It was an action packed week in Year 2. We enjoyed the Mile a day in the sun on one of the only days it did not rain. In History we are learning about seaside holidays in the past and worked a group to sort the photos into photos from today and the past. In Maths we logged into Times Tables…

Year 2 have loved making their owl puppets. They designed their owls and then had a go at joining materials using a running stitch and then added details to finish their creations. They were very proud of their finished work.

This afternoon we have been comparing ourselves to robots. We enjoyed using our senses to smell, hear, see and feel different objects

What a fantastic experience for our little ones! They LOVED meeting the different mini-beasts, reptiles and animals. I was so proud of them as they were super brave!! 

We had a fantastic, fun filled first week back! The children are loving our pirate role play area, it is great to see them taking on a role in their play. #Enjoy #Evolve
