Y6 were excellent in their Islam session, today! Big shout out to a Taylor for volunteering to demonstrate prayer.

Hinduism

As part of Faith Week, we had a workshop on Hinduism. We enjoyed learning about it means to a Hindu and how their beliefs differ to ours.

Islam

We enjoyed learning about Islam and the different artefacts, including a prayer mat and the Quaran.

Year 5 really enjoying learning about the Hindu religion and culture!

Year 5 are loving our new computing topic this half term! We are learning about what it is like to be a YouTuber!

We have been learning how to read 6-digit coordinates in preparation for our orienteering enrichment activity!

Y6 loved their Hinduism session and learning all about Gods, religious dress and traditional dance!

Y6 have been experimenting with colours, by mixing and comparing to their chosen camouflage background.

During today's jigsaw lesson we explored different feelings, children worked in pairs to mime a feeling to the class. We also discussed the importance of being able to recognise when others are feeling a certain way which allows us to empathise.

Year 3 found it fascinating learning about the brain and how to keep it healthy.

Poppy joined us for our first music lesson. Children expressed how they felt about a song. This half term we are listening to r and b music.

We loved creating a piece of art starting with a dot of paint and seeing where it would take us. Once we painted our plate we used wool and a weaving method to create a dot in the middle.

Year 1 had an amazing time on International Dot Day! We talked all about making our mark and being proud of the art we create. We discussed which brushes would be best for us to use to achieve different effects. We loved getting messy and we were so proud of our artwork. Look what can be achieved…
