English - Biographies
This week in English, Year 3 have been really enthusiastic learning about biographies and reading about the lives of different famous people! Over the next couple of weeks we will be writing our own biography about a chosen person.

Salt Dough Stars
This afternoon the children had fun making salt dough stars, we can’t wait to decorate them!
Year 1- Number bonds
Year 1 have been working on something new in Maths today! We used cubes to see how many ways we could share the number 6 between two plates, then we were introduced to a ‘number bond diagram’ to show different ways of representing the two parts!
Twinkle Twinkle ⭐️
A great start to our nursery rhyme ‘Twinkle, twinkle little star’. The children have explored stars through play dough, printing, singing and sticking today!
I just love listening to them sing the rhyme. They sound beautiful!

Investigating properties of materials
Year 2 are enjoying exploring different materials in Science and learning about their properties. Today we learnt about rubber, cardboard, glass and brick.
Year Six Story Planning
Year Six really enjoyed planning their survival stories today - focusing on progressive verbs and noun phrases.
Year Six - Black History Month
Year Six were brilliant when discussing the case of Stephen Lawrence and the significance of Black History Month. The children asked excellent questions and offered keen insights, which showed just how aware and considerate they are!
Working hard in Maths
We have been working really hard this week looking at number patterns to learn how to answer 1 more/less, 2 more/less, 5 more/less and 10 more/less. Great teamwork.

Year 1 - One More and One Less
Our Maths skills are coming along beautifully in Year 1! We have been exploring how to find one more and one less than a number. We had a great time rolling a dice and using counters , ten frames and number lines to find one more and one less.
