Year 1- Number bonds

Year 1 have been working on something new in Maths today! We used cubes to see how many ways we could share the number 6 between two plates, then we were introduced to a ‘number bond diagram’ to show different ways of representing the two parts!

Twinkle Twinkle ⭐️

A great start to our nursery rhyme ‘Twinkle, twinkle little star’. The children have explored stars through play dough, printing, singing and sticking today!

Year 1 - One More and One Less

Our Maths skills are coming along beautifully in Year 1! We have been exploring how to find one more and one less than a number. We had a great time rolling a dice and using counters , ten frames and number lines to find one more and one less.
